This kennel has taken a ton of thought with its design and the designated space we had to work with. Some many tiny little details to still work out but it is coming along and we are getting so close to move in date! Still to come is our wash area, sectioning off the kennels themselves, building our swivel feeders and custom doors (which we are fabricating ourselves, ooo this will be exciting yet time consuming!), building the hoist for the loft for food storage and finding the right cupboards.
Hoping to get everyone moved in before the rainy season. We have had such a drought year that we've been praying for rain! Not looking forward to muddy paws and matted hair but we most definitely need the moisture to make everything green again and reduce our fire risk out here in the sage brush!
I have to say that my favorite part about this building is the front porch. We don't have a porch anywhere on the property so it is so nice to be able to sit under it and enjoy looking over all our hard work that we've poured into this place since we moved in. Also, it is a nice area to to set up the grooming table and be outside in the shade and blow dry the dogs outside and reduce the amount of hair floating around inside!
I don't get excited about many things....I can't even express how excited I am to complete this project! It has been over 3 years since I have had a vacation and this building is going to reduce the stress in my life and allow me to also live outside of the farm!!!
