For those wanting updates on our special boy Nemo (BMM4), he is expected to make a full recovery and is now available for reservation for his new home! Our physical therapy treatments to assist straightening his front legs has been a success. We made our own little splints using PVC pipe cut in half and edges sanded so they were not sharp, just enough curve to cradle the legs wrapped in elasticon for a secure attachment. These splints were only used for a few hours at a time for about 3-4 days. His little sores from dragging his knuckles are completely healed now. We did leave his dewclaws on the front just so he would have extra traction while crawling around. These can be removed at the time of neutering if needed or desired. Numerous hours messaging and stretching and splinting along with little supplementation for extra nourishment has done him justice!! So excited to watch him excel along with his brothers and sisters! Way to go kid we are so proud of you!
